Dominique Fayad is a printmaker and painter, born in Beirut, who lives and work between Paris and Washington DC. Having grown up in Paris and Beirut, she is inspired by the urban environment and the nature of the countries she visits and lives in. Her artwork explores the themes of identity, heritage, transmission, and perception through visual interpretations of multicultural aesthetics.
She started etching in Alexandria, VA and fell in love with the process and richness of printmaking techniques. She enjoys exploring ways to create textures, patterns, lines, and color combinations within the technical constraints and sequencing imposed by the printmaking process, echoing the complexity of the themes she strives to express.
Dominique Fayad continued to deepen her techniques at the Manhattan Graphics Center and EFA Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop in New York, where she was a teaching assistant in the Fall 2019.
Her artwork can be found in private collections in Paris, New York, Washington DC, Beirut, Frankfurt, and Geneva
